Our Cat Tigger was brought into our home as a stray, we took her in. I wasn’t even born when she came into our lives, the best thing that’s ever happened to me and my family. She was only a kitten when we got her, we brought her into our home in 1984, she was my best friend. All pets demand little, they give unconditional acceptance and reassurance, and offer immediate consistent feedback, I miss her so much, she was my best friend as do all of you who have lost a pet. They are part of family triangles, absorbing or defusing anger, tension, and even love that’s to strong for other family members to direct toward each other. When I turned 8 years old I was allowed to get a kitten, and Tig took him in as if it were her own. I can tell he misses her, Tigger was like a mother to him. Tigger passed away 4 months ago, I know I wasn’t even born and now I’m 16 years old. She was 19 years old, she could have lived a bit longer but her kidney’s were failing and everything she ate didn’t make her gain weight. Her usual weight was about 14 pounds and it suddenly dropped to 9 pounds, she was starving herself, she also drank water a lot, as you can see here, she’s in the sink, lying in a bit of left over water… we didn’t like what was happening to her so we decided to put her down on April 30th of 2004. The good news is we just adopted a kitten and we go and pick him up tomorrow, Charlie will be happy now, he’s a big softy!!

You will always be remembered and never forgotten Tigger, I love u so much.
I’ll keep saying goodnight to you for the rest of my life, until we’re together again.
Peace be with you my friend,
Samantha Carr
